G.R.E.A.T

Wow...the last time I updated my blog was exactly one month ago. Been busy with test, test, test, assignments, reports and TEST. I was just complaining to my dear friend, suiying, that I'm going to run out of creative juice. Seriously. All I write about now in uni is very technical. Even for my English article review had to be about engineering related subjects. BORING. Hand me over a narrative essay and I'll go blank. This is how I know the level of my creative juice has fallen below the RED line.

To make matters 'better', today I stumbled upon Kenny Sia's blog. He is one of Malaysia's famous/renown blogger. And I read the following on his blog:

" I'm a graduate of Curtin University, where I hold a Bachelors degree in Physics and an Honours degree in Electronic & Communication Engineering. None of my two degrees have any relevance whatsoever to my field of work right now. I haven't yet found the need to use complex Calculus to solve a really bad business decision.

The moral of the story is: get a commerce degree instead. You'll live longer."

Okay. So I'm studying Electronic & Communication Engineering. Note the moral of the story : "get a commerce degree instead. You'll live longer." GREAT. I'm not only running out of creativity when it comes to writing. I'm also going to have a shorter life span!! Geez. Tell me if there's anything worst...I think I'll be able to handle it.

On another note, I'm really looking forward to go back to Taiping this weekend. I just want to get out of KL and have some fresh-photosynthesized air from the Lake Gardens. Not to mention, I'm also craving for home-cooked food! I'm so sick of outside food, instant noodles and bread. And my hair is falling off like the leaves of autumn thanks to stress and the instant noodles. It's thinning. :(

Lastly, I'm going to put my UEEA 1313 Basic Electronics notes/books under my pillow this few nights. Hoping it would miraculously be absorbed by my brain so that I can regurgitate it out when in need.

Apparently Yan...

Yan have been sharing her room with two roomies, namely Jessica and Liwen, for 2 months. And the below are some 'complaints' she received about her sleeping position and her sleeping habits:-

a) Apparently Yan mumbles when she's asleep.
b) Apparently Yan laughs when she's asleep.
c) Apparently Yan 'smacks' the person beside her when she's asleep. (sorry Liwen)
d) Apparently Yan grabs her roomies' bolster, named xiao lan=small blue. (sorry Liwen AGAIN)
e) Apparently Yan crosses her leg when she's asleep. (like an old ah pek sitting in some kopitiam)

Okay...so apparently these are the things that Yan did when she's experiencing REM/NREM. She's totally unaware. She's in a state of unconsciousness. She's in sleep debt. She's been having too much caffeine the day before. She may be too stress during the day and unfortunately, it shows even when she's asleep.

Blame her not.

Faith & Perseverance

Looking back.
You wonder.
You ponder.
You had hope.
You had faith.
But it didn't happen.
You gave up hope.
And now you are left with faith.
Is faith on your side?
You just wish you had a little luck.

It happened and hit you right on your face.
You got smacked back to reality.
You wished it didn't happen to you.
But you knew it happened for a reason.
Maybe there is a silver lining.
Maybe it's a blessing or even an angel in disguise.
You knew you got no choice.
You just have to do it.
Knowing you got to go on;
For it will be waiting for you at the end.

delicious by Ms. Read@1-Utama

Big bro: Wanna go grab a bite at delicious before we leave?
Lil sis: Sure!!(didn't know where's
delicious but the name of the place was so tempting...I couldn't resist!!and it's a bit impolite to say no to my bro :P)

So we went in and found a nice spot to grab a bite. Ching then ordered the Classic Chocolate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream(RM11.90). I was thinking, gosh...this dessert better be really good cause I was sitting there dumbfounded looking at Ching.

Yan: Erm...*looks around and whispered* RM11.90?? for a slice??
Ching: Yeah. No worries . You'll be really pleased and contented.
Yan: ....okay......

Now...lo and behold, The Classic Chocalate Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream.

Rich moist cake, covered with warm chocolate fudge and topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The chocolate fudge was warm while the ice cream was cold. It's a great combination of both. I've got to say, this sinfully rich chocolate cake is excellent stuff. So heavenly. Indulgence.

Head on to delicious and try the food there. It's located at the ground floor of 1-Utama new wing. The food there is suppose to be really good, especially their desserts. Although the place maybe a little pricy, Ms. Read definitely have a way of making her customers forget all about the price by the time you reach your last spoonful. Have a look at their website: http://www.delicious.com.my/menu.htm

p/s: Sad thing is, I forgot to take photos of the food I had at T.G.I Friday's. :( The food there were really good as well.

You've Got A Friend

A guy with his guitar playing a song for you, is always nice; and most definitely flattering. I'm sure this is how he ended up with a ring on his finger.

Love this song. Love the way he plays the guitar. Love his voice. I don't know his name though, but he does it so effortlessly. However, the lyrics is a bit different from the original version.

Try listening to it when you are experiencing solitude. Listening to this song makes me wonder/think/ponder...a couple of names came into my mind. Just remember you've got a friend. 'winter, spring, summer or fall; all you got to do is call...and i'll be there, yes i will...'

Hugs anyone? *hugs*

You've Got A Friend
(by: Carole King
as performed by: James Taylor)

When you're down and troubled
and you need a helping hand
and nothing, whoa nothing is going right.
Close your eyes and think of me
and soon I will be there
to brighten up even your darkest nights.

You just call out my name,
and you know wherever I am
I'll come running, oh yeah baby
to see you again.
Winter, spring, summer, or fall,
all you have to do is call
and I'll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You've got a friend.

If the sky above you
should turn dark and full of clouds
and that old north wind should begin to blow
Keep your head together and call my name out loud
and soon I will be knocking upon your door.

You just call out my name and you know wherever I am
I'll come running to see you again.
Winter, spring, summer or fall
all you got to do is call
and I'll be there, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Hey, ain't it good to know that you've got a friend?
People can be so cold.
They'll hurt you and desert you.
Well they'll take your soul if you let them.
Oh yeah, but don't you let them.

You just call out my name and you know wherever I am
I'll come running to see you again.
Oh babe, don't you know that,
Winter spring summer or fall,
Hey now, all you've got to do is call.
Lord, I'll be there, yes I will.
You've got a friend.
You've got a friend.
Ain't it good to know you've got a friend.
Ain't it good to know you've got a friend.

You've got a friend.

Back For The Weekend

Okay, so I finally went back to Taiping and met Jane who just got back from US. And she gave me a HUGE hug. She would still be 'hanging water' right now if I didn't meet up with her when I'm in Taiping. So together with a bunch of friends, I went to Starbucks. I had a cup of Java Chip Frappuccino (Blended Coffee); recommended by Jane since she's a very experience staff for Starbucks. I've also learned what's the difference between latte, frappucino and espresso...it's interesting.

So, what happens when there is a bunch of girls high on caffeine? Well, we just talked a whole lot of stories and whatnot which contain lots of nonsensical-dramatic-hyperbolic elements that made us all laughed. And mind you, when Jane starts laughing...faces of the unknown started to turn towards our table; which was smacked right in the middle of Starbucks. Even my handbag got stained when some Frappucino of mine spurt out from my mouth from the result of laughing too much.

I asked Jane if she have american dollars with her, as I would like to have a look how exactly an american dollar look like. And when asked if I could keep that one dollar, Jane was kind enough to give it to me. Thanks again Jane. Then before midnight, we went round Taiping in Jenn's car and half way we decided to head for Khai Li's house. After hanging out at Khai Li's place, Jenn sent all of us back home before 2am.

So yeah, eventhough I was in Taiping for only 32 hours, I had great fun meeting up with Jane. It's been a year since she left for the States, so it was really great to see her after so long. And I'm so glad that Jane is still the Jane that I knew. I had loads of fun, and wished I didn't have to come back to KL so soon; and I kind of harbour too much to my friends of not wanting to go back to KL. I wanted to play badminton and go drunk with u guys! Hey peeps, make sure I'm around the next time u guys want to go drunk okay? Count me in!

p/s: Jane, I didn't get a chance to have a photo with you...and yeah Jane, the tree at the lake garden became a round about. But well, at least they didn't chop the tree off and planted a traffic light there.
